So nice that I ended up buying more for everyone else in the family - all in different colors. I bought this brand because it didn’t have a strange, foreign company logo embossed somewhere. Glad I did. I like the ones with the suede finish on bottom side - doesn’t slide around compared to the dual colored ones which moves slightly.Perfectly flat after being weighted down for just a bit. Love that it’s dual sided.Too early to comment on durability. Love the color and textureWorks wellI have a very nice looking corner desk that works perfectly in my office area, it is a unique color and shape. The top on the desk is a textured driftwood color, seems not the most durable surface, I recently noticed that my Apple wireless keyboard and mouse for my iMac were starting to leave wear marks on the textured surface. They are very faint right now, but noticeable at closer look.I wanted to preserve the finish on the desktop, but also want to use my iMac and not worry about the desktop finish, so I started looking for protective desk blotter/mat, came across this 2 color mat (silver one side/gray other side), it is absolutely perfect for my intended purpose. I'm using the gray side up, blends great with my driftwood desktop finish and my silver iMac and accessories.I could not be happier with my purchase, great price, perfect size (roughly 2'x1') for my application.I tried scratching the surface with my finger nails, surface seems very durable and also gives me just a touch of cushioning for my wrists when typing, much more comfortable than before using the mat.Get it, you will not be disappointed!It’s a desk pad. Doesn’t do much except lay there. But the size is good. Plenty of room for a keyboard and mouse. Good thickness. Gives a slightly softer surface, but still firm enough to write on (if you’re into that). I use it at work, and it replaces my mouse pad. It also gives me slight sense of organization. I find I lay certain things, like pens and cellphone, in certain places around the edge of this thing. I don’t use the red side, but it looks fine if it fits your decor or taste. It’s a slightly darker, muted red and not visually “loud”. So, if you’re looking for a desk pad, this is a fine choice.My only suggestion for use would be a little double sided tape to hold it still. In my case, it slid around a little. That’s probably the fault of my desktop, and not the pad. I put a little under each corner and it’s perfectly fine.Also, it ships rolled up pretty tightly. When you get it, unroll it and try to find a sunny window. Lay it there, black side up, for a day or two. It will flatten very nicely.It’s great for the price, my issue was the pink and the purple, there’s really minimal difference in color. It’s advertised as being significantly different and a nice darker purple but the pink and purple are relatively the same! Not an issue for me but I suppose if someone’s going for a specific color scheme. Otherwise good material, yes it comes rolled up and has ends that curl but I rolled it the opposite way and I let it lay flat on my desk with items on the corner, and not an issue. Doesn’t appear to slide around a lot but could also be the material of my desk top as I saw other reviewers said it slid! Honestly would buy it again for the size vs price value. Yes, not real leather as the description says but if you scroll down it does state faux leather!I ordered light blue, but it actually looks like dark green in reality.
