The motor is quiet for what it is ,it just makes a motor noise not loud ,not silent, it just sounds like it is moving .Assembly is easy if you actually read the instructions and not like the rest of the people here. I have had it for like 1 week and I use it, trust me. I try to stand for like 2 minutes and feel like dying so I need to sit but 2 minutes later I want to stand again. So believe me. Mine has gone up and down enough times in these 1 week to tell you that it is a decent quality machine.I've been looking for a standing desk to add to my workspace due to long hours of sitting.This is the PERFECT desk! l love that it's black and brown and matches my other office furniture. I was able to put the desk together in about 20 minutes and the controls are reactive and do just what they're meant to do . The motor is quieter than I expected which is nice during transitions from sitting to standing. I highly highly recommend this desk and may end up getting another for the other side of my office!I picked this model for its ability to preset 4 different heights-as a bonus it displays actual height. Since I switch from sitting to standing several times a day, a simple push of the preset height makes it real easy. The supporting cross beam makes it sturdy in the fully raised position(it would wobble without it). Instructions are reasonably clear and this table supports 2 large 26" monitor and a docking station for my laptop. I can lean on it in the fully raised position without fearing that it would tip over-the legs and feet are heavy-duty.It took some 40 min to assemble, but it is a GREAT desk! Command pans is flawless, it goes up and down with little noise, the desk has no flex in any direction even when raised, it was the cheapest stand out desk I could get and it has nothing missing compared to the very professional-level- priced one I had in the office before covid.100%recommended. Get one now if you are looking for a standup desk and this fits your space.I am very happy with this desk. I was looking for an inexpensive adjustable desk for my home office. I generally don't use it for long periods of time so I wanted something that looked nice and was sturdy at a good price. The desk was easy to assemble, allows me to sit or stand while using it and overall meets my needs. Nice desk for the price.I really really like this desk. I went with this desk because it was wide and deep. It also matched my decor. The setup was easy and straightforward. I did it singlehandedly and I had everything set up in less than an hour. The pressts are great and I can go from sitting to standing in less than a minute. The motor is quiet and it all moves smoothly.This was the only inexpensive desk I could find that allows me to make pre-sets so I can push one button & take a break. It can be a short break though. It only takes about 12 seconds to smoothly & quietly switch from sit level to stand or vice versa. If it continues to work as it has been so far then it will be a hands-down winner at this price.I love this desk.I usually don't know how to build furniture,especially furniture with a motor,but I was able to single handedly build this successfully.Instructions wrer easy to follow and most of them became common sense along the way.It works perfectly and was easy to program my 2 settings of standing or sitting.At the tap of a button I'm standing up at my desk or sitting back down.Smooth and quiet function.
